Capones Island (Zambales) and its Lighthouse 🌴🌾
I love lighthouses. I’ve been to a number already and each time they mesmerized me. I don’t know. I just find them romantic and sad at the same time. Haha.
This time, we went to Capones Island in Zambales. Zambales is only 3 hours away from Manila. Perfect for a weekend getaway.
Did I mentioned the island has a lighthouse? Haha. (Warning, lighthouse porn on your way.)
Below is the view of the island / lighthouse from our boat.
See the waters.
Say hi to Mark Anthony. ☺
Look at this beauty. The gate is very beautiful.
I’m guessing this was built during the Spanish era like most of the lighthouses in the Philippines. Sadly, just like most of them, it’s not well-maintained too. Calling the Department of Tourism.
This is the entrance going to the top of the lighthouse.
The staircase looks really good.
And then, there’s this door at the top:
Go inside and see this beauty.
My friends☺
I’m actually quite afraid of heights. Haha. This is me holding on to my life. Lol.
Of course, we took a bunch of photos at the ground as well.
Me. Trying to be mysterious. Haha
Beautiful doors! This lighthouse must be very gorgeous before.
This is what the lighthouse looks like from the outside.
And then there’s this view as well.
I love the colors!
Our boat is waiting for us at the bottom. Until we meet again Capones. ☺
